Delta Networks, Inc. and Fujitsu Team Up to Deliver WiMAX Subscriber Station

Taipei, October 19th, 2007 — Fujitsu Microelecronics Pacific Asia Ltd announced that Fujitsu, a leading supplier and developer of WiMAX solution, has formed an alliance with Delta Networks Inc(DNI), an industry-leading original design manufacturer of network communication equipment, to develop a 802.16e compliant, Wave2 certifiable WiMAX subscriber station. Both company will be showing WiMAX product at Fujitsu booth(C4-1) during the Taipei WiMAX Forum Showcase and Conference in Taipei at TICC.
Delta Networks’ WiMAX subscriber stations adheres to IEEE802.16e-2005 standard and is expected to comply with the requirements as set forth by WiMAX Forum Wave2 certification program. In addition, both MIMO profiles as defined by the WiMAX Forum, Matrix A and Matrix B, will be fully supported.

The alliance between Delta Networks and Fujitsu offers both companies the opportunity to combine their core competencies in order to meet challenging operator requirements for Quad and Triple play services in the future.

A recent study from ITRI Research forecasts that by 2010, there will be more than 20 million subscribers using WiMAX technology. And by 2012, WiMAX spectrum will cover more than 1.3 billion people in the worldwide. Jin-Gou Ma, vice director of ITRI SoC Technology Center states, “WiMAX has better spectrum efficiency and bandwidth performance than 3.5G and also take a lead in developing schedule compare with LTE. “
